The Drowners
Sea monsters

It's been a long time since the last episode (I got buried under work. Nearly actually buried in some cases).
During this time, amongst other projects, I was working for a local oral history project producing a podcast series which will be released soon. While doing this I met Joanna Thomson who was working to save the Goodwin Sands sandbank from being dredged and disturbing thousands of wrecked ships and sailors' graves. I interviewed her and by coincidence was invited by Sam Bailey at Free Range to perform another live show, just for old times' sake. I had collected a slew of interviews for the next series that was never going to materialise and it energised me to get the band back together for one more show.
Recorded live in front of an audience at Canterbury's Free Range series of arts and music events in May 2024.
Haunting stories are not just for fiction.
